Shopping and Gift-Giving Tips
Installation Space - If buying a wall-mounted mirror consider carefully the space it will need to fit into. Lighted mirrors are 3" thick at minimum and much larger "in person" than one might imagine from a tiny photo representation on the web page. MEASURE you space before bying. By far, the most frequent reason for return is "too big." Dimensions are given on each mirror-ordering page. For more detailed eimensions, consult the SPECS page for complete dimensions.
Chrome or Burshed Nickel is the preferred color for a bath mirror. The reason is that most bathrooms have chrome fixtures - not gold ones. By the same token, if the mirror is to be used in the bedroom, then 18k gold or brass is usually the preferred choice.
HARDWIRED mirrors have no electrical cord or plug. Hardwired mirrors must be installed by electricians. These installation requirements can take gift recipients by surprise.
Magnification - The most universally accepted magnification power is 5x. 7x and greater mirrors are best for critical use or for use by people with poor eyesight. If you do order a 7x or greater mirror, read the warning page you'll see, carefully.
