It's easy to choose the Infratech heater and controls that are right for you.
Simply follow these 3 easy steps:

Step 1:
Determine from the chart at right, the approximate measurements and mounting heights for the area you want to heat.

Step 2:
Select the heater(s) that will work both functionally and aesthetically for your space. After selecting the proper size and number of heaters for your space, and determining whether you will be mounting heaters to your ceiling, flush mounting in the ceiling, wall mounting, or using the free-stand pole mounting option, you are ready to choose your controls.

Step 3:
Choose the control option that works best for your control capability requirements or budget. Options include value control installations or solid-state controls. Infratech offers a variety of control options for maximum versatility, affordability and ease of use. Controls range from special, simple on/off switches, affordable variable heat regulators, or solid-state systems with unlimited intensity control. If you need additional assistance, we would be happy to help you in configuring the best possible components for your specific installation requirements. We can assist you in the design of custom controls that integrate seamlessly into the most sophisticated EMS and automated home management systems. Call us at 1-800-325-6262.

W-Series Single Element Heaters
W-Series heaters range from 1,500 to 4,000 watts. The W-Series includes some of our most versatile products.

WD-Series Dual Element Heaters
Dual element heaters are available in 4,000, 5,000 and 6,000-watt models. WD-Series heaters are ideal for use in settings that require higher mounting heights, or when more intense directional heat is desired.

Infratech has designed custom heaters and control systems for some of the finest luxury hotels and resorts. We are happy to consult with customers, architects and designers, to craft the ideal solution for your particular needs. Call us at 1-800-325-6262.

There are three types of controls, on-off switches, dial controls, and custom controls.

On-Off Switches:
Each switch simply turns an Infratech heater on and off.  You need a separate switch for each heater element up to 3,000 watts per element.  If you have a 1,500 Watt heater you need a single switch. If you have a D-model that has 2 heating elements of 1,500 Watts each, you can use a single switch or a dual switch - one for each element since each element can be wired separately to each of the two switches.   This provides a degree of control since you can then switch on or off, either one or both heating elements.

Since there's 3,000 Watt limit to switches, you can't use switches with 4,000 Watt heater elements.

Variable Controls:
Variable controls consist of a dial control with a black knob numbered 1 to 10 ("Hi") and with an "Off" position.  Each control can handle a heater element up to 4,000 Watts.  The dial control doesn't regulate the amount of heat, but rather regulates an on-off cycle.  Set to 10 or "Hi", the heater remains on 100% of the time.  If you set the dial to 7, for example, the heater will cycle on approximately 70% of the time and off 30% of the time.  Set to 5, the on-of cycle becomes approximately 50% on, 50% off, etc.  You can use two dial controls to separately control each element of a dual-element Infratech heater, giving you a great deal of flexibility.

Analog Controls plus Main Relay Control Panel:
For unlimited flexibility this is the setup for you.  We can help you design a custom setup to regulate any number of heaters and elements with a single control - or with multiple controls and/or timers.  These setups can regulate the heat output of each element.  You can specify individual settings for various units, elements, zones, etc.

We will help you though this design process.  Tell us is the mounting heights for your heaters and the area you need to cover.  We'll work with you to determine the exact degree of flexibility you need and specify the system for your needs.  Call us a 1-800-325-6262. Press 1 for Customer Service.

Whether dining alfresco, hosting a courtyard party, enjoying an intimate evening on the terrace or relaxing at home, outdoor venues come in all shapes and sizes. This is why Infratech offers the widest range of fixtures, installation options and control capabilities to create comfortable spaces.

Infratech has been an industry leader in infrared technology for more than 50 years and offers some of the finest patio heaters around. You will find these heaters at many luxury hotels around the world. These low-profile electric heaters coordinate with many decor styles, and offer silent operation and superior performance compared to gas; with no harmful emissions or odors. Infratech heaters are over 90% energy efficient, UL listed for outdoor and indoor use and are easy and inexpensive to operate. Infratech offer a wide selection of heating options, for optimum comfort in any outdoor room or enclosed area. Their products are ideal for use in fine homes, restaurants, hotels and more.

Infrared or radiant energy is the most practical way to add warmth to spaces like patios, terraces, verandas, enclosed areas, or any indoor or outdoor setting where heated air cannot easily be contained and re-circulated. A heated quartz element emits a safe, clean wavelength of light that is only absorbed by solid objects, transferring heat directly to a person, table or floor rather than heating the air. For this reason, infrared heat can be distributed very evenly, and will not simply "blow away" in windy or drafty conditions. Infratech medium wave quartz element heaters emit a barely discernible, pleasing glow that will not affect the ambiance of your gathering - unlike competitive short-wave or halogen electric heaters that produce a very harsh glare or bright-colored light.

In today's world, protecting our environment has become a top priority. With Infratech heaters, you can entertain outside without producing the negative environmental effects created by most gas-fired heaters or outdoor fireplaces. Traditional gas burners are often less than 50% efficient and emit carbon monoxide and other hazardous gases as a by-product of combustion and burning fuel. By contrast, Infratech energy-efficient infrared fixtures convert over 90% of input energy directly into radiant heat, and operate for just pennies per hour. Infratech electric infrared heaters are safe for use outdoors or indoors, operate silently, emit no greenhouse gases or unpleasant odors and do not require ventilation. In addition, Infratech comfort heater components and packaging are completely recyclable.
