The base is weighted and padded to give stability in all configurations.  The clever and unique feature you get with this mirror is the double swing-arm.  The mirror can be made reasonably compact on your vanity, yet you can swing the amrs out to bring the mirror to your ideal viewing spot.  The 3x Magnification Mirror reverses to 1x (regular view) while both pivots rotate through 360°.   The mirror itself, tilts and reverses by "flipping" over or by rotating. Mirror diameter is 6.5".
