Extension Bases Our Vinyl and Wood Cupolas are designed for a roof pitch up to 10" rise per foot ("10/12 pitch"). Most roofs are not steeper than this. If, however, your roof is steper than 10/12 pitch, you'll need to use an Extension Base with your Cupola. If needed, it is important that you order your Extension Base at the same time you order your Cupola.
Castle Cupolas: Designed for a roof pitch up to 12" rise per foot ("12/12 pitch"). But if the roof is steeper than 12/12 pitch, you will need an Extension Base for your Cupola.
